Type of the 11th house

Upachaya houses (3, 6, 10, 11) are houses that grow over time; the results of a planet here increase over the years.

How does Saturn work in this house?

Saturn is a natural malefic planet. Planets counted as malefic do well in upachaya houses (3, 6, 10, 11), where they grow stronger over time and give good results. Here Saturn is in a classically good place: it gives fighting strength and endurance.

Strengthens: a growing house and one of its best places; quiet accumulation, steady reward for effort; even easier in Libra, Capricorn or Aquarius. Strained: in Aries or with the Moon, a narrow circle.

Mature face: steady accumulation, a reliable institution. Raw face: a circle that stays narrow.

Where does Saturn look from the 11th house?

In Vedic astrology a planet casts its gaze (drishti) on certain houses from where it stands and influences those areas too. In this placement:

• 8th house (transformation, depth, shared resources, research and rebirth)
• 1st house (your personality, body, health, self-presence and outlook on life)
• 5th house (creativity, children, love, intelligence, education and fortune)

In which sign?

The same house placement gives results more easily when Saturn is in a sign where it is strong, and with more effort when it is in a sign where it struggles.
